Try other Bisquick Chocolate Chip Bars recipes

I am going to rate this without stars as they did not turn out well for me. I heeded other reviews about the "copycat" bisquick making these bars greasy. Therefore I reduced the oil to a few tablespoons and used applesauce for the rest. This caused the bars to be terribly dry. If I try these again, I would go with a bit less oil than the original recipe calls for and see what happens. I made these two days ago and still have 3/4 of the pan left since no one liked them. Will try again though since others seem to really enjoy them.

SOOOOOOOOO sinkin easy an yummy! i didn't even meausre the chips, just dumped a bunch on the batter and then some on top. They were awesome fresh, but then i left then out overnight and they were a little hard. I then placed them in a ziplock bag, planning on micowaving them for 10 sec. later...they actually were the perfect consistency when I took them out of the bag. I also doubled the recipe, and for some reason, the middle wasn't really getting cooked...fine with me tho! the middle was so doughy and chewy...heaven!

These were very, very good and the pan I made less than 24 hours ago is gone! I took many of the suggestions here....1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar, mixed the chips in the batter and lowered the oil to 1/4 cup. I found them a little oily however, so next time I'm going to try using applesauce for the oil. I needed 35 minutes to cook them, but all in all, very chewy, very tasty and very easy! "Homemade" chocolate chip cookies in bar form. What a great idea!

My guys just loved these! They said 5 stars all the way! I don't usually use Bisquick but had a box that was sitting there that I can't even remember why I purchased it. This recipe seemed easy and it was! I used only 1 Tbsp vanilla and after tasting the dough before baking thought the vanilla flavour was prominent enough that I will only use one when I make this in the future. The dough was very thick/firm and it wasn't really spreadable for me so it was more like pressing it out into the pan with the spoon. I baked it in an Airbake (double layer insulated) pan which probably wasn't the best plan and had to bake 10 minutes longer than the recipe stated. For the chips I used 1/2 cup of cinnamon chips and 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate mini's since that was what I had on hand. Will definitely keep this recipe!
