In our family, we call them "Nothin' Cookies" because they are so light and fluffy. Very addictive!

SERVES 24 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form.

    Add vanilla.
  3. 3
    Gradually add sugar, beat until stiff.
  4. 4
    Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. 5
    Drop by teaspoonful on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper or foil.
  6. 6
    Bake until dry at 300 degrees, about 25 minutes (sometimes this takes 35-45 minutes).

    Note: you can also add 2 Tbls of cocoa to make Chocolate Clouds.

I make these, but I remove them from the oven prior to being fully set up, and make a thumb print in them. Then I add canned berries (pie fillers) into the hole, whipped cream from the can around the outside for decoration, and I finish it off with a sprig of chocolate.

    I used mini chocolate chips and omitted the nuts. Very light and airy! We love them!
