Lisa's Swirled Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a chocolate chip cookie recipe that my friend DeLynn's best friend gave to us. This is the recipe I use for normal chocolate chip cookies, but I've recently been making them with Nestlé's new White & Milk Chocolate Swirled chips. This is a yummy soft and delicious cookie!

SERVES 36 -42 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. 2
    Mix butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in large bowl.
  3. 3
    Stir in the flour, baking soda and salt.
  4. 4
    Stir in 2 cups of Swirled Chocolate Chips.
  5. 5
    Drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoons, about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    Place the several of the reserved swirled chocolate chips on top of each cookie.

    Bake 9-12 minutes or until light brown.

    Cool slightly.

    Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

    These were yummy!! I didnt use the swirls, although I should have. They're so cute! These cookies don't spread much,just so you know. I put them really far apart, but you dont need to!

    Excellent cookies!!! I made half a batch since I only had one bag of chips. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 3/4 cup brown as it was easier than measuring 5/8 cup of each. I used real butter and followed the recipe exactly otherwise. Even though placing the chips on top was a little more time consuming than just mixing them all in, it does give the cookies a neat look in the end. Thanks so much, Kristen, for a lovely recipe!!

    OK, what do you do when you can't sleep and are wide awake at 5:00 in the morning? Why you make these wonderful cookies....that's what you do, ha, ha ha. Seriously, I did, and they are wonderful. Since I had no idea I was going to do these, I had to make them with semi-sweet chips. But I can't wait to make them again with the "swirl" chips. These cookies are soft and ooey-gooey. Thanks for sharing, KC Cooker.
