I made this for dessert after what I knew would be a heavy meal. I used a chocolate graham crust. I was looking for a recipe that didn't use gelatin. Next time I will add a few drops of red food coloring. There weren't any leftovers! Thanks, foxjen.

I really enjoyed this pie and since it didn't use gelatin (which I didn't have) it was just what I was looking for. I used a homemade regular pie crust however I think it would be better with a graham cracker crust. I also added a couple of drops of red food coloring to the mixture for a nice color.

Delicious! I chose this recipe because all the others I looked at called for Jello and I didn't have any. Am I glad I picked this one! It's wonderful. Easy and tasty and made with ingredients that you don't have to run out to the store to get. I added about a teaspoon of lemon juice and 3 drops of red food coloring to the glaze after it was done cooking. I used 2 pints of sliced strawberries and I tossed the berries in the glaze before pouring into my pie shell. My whole family loved it! Thank you!

The flavor was phenomenal!!! The only amendment I would make is to slice the berries first, in addition to adding more...perhaps 1 1/2 or 2 pints. Enjoy!!!!
